Cannabis Studies

The three certificates under the Cannabis Studies program prepare students for employment in the cannabis industry. Students will acquire knowledge and skills in key areas identified by industry partners as important for successful employment in the field.

Completers of these programs will be more competitive when seeking employment within Illinois and in states that have legalized medical and/or adult-use cannabis. Positions include but are not limited to patient care specialists, dispensary agents, cultivation agents, growers, trimmers, transportation agents, processing technicians, packagers, production technicians, and warehouse associates.
