Student Activities

For some students, completing gen-ed courses part-time may be the plan. Other students may charge toward a degree at turbo speed. Whether you are a new undergraduate, transfer student or non-traditional student, Oakton College encourages you to get involved with campus activities and clubs to enrich your college experience. During your time at Oakton, you will have opportunities to connect with the campus community in various ways outside of the classroom. We believe the bonds and memories you make here will enrich your life for years to come.

No matter your academic goals, class schedule or time spent on campus, you'll always be able to engage with various student clubs and activities. There is always something to see and do at Oakton.

Campus Involvement Opportunities

Student-Centered Clubs

Pursuing a beloved hobby or trying something new—like getting creative by joining the Ceramics Club or becoming a leader in Students for Social Justice—is a great way for our students to further their personal growth at Oakton. You may learn a new skill, discover a new passion or make lifelong friends. There are currently more than 30 student clubs, but we always welcome students to apply to start a new club (PDF) (432 KB). Your energy and special interests help our campus diversify and grow for the better.
