Office of Student Affairs

From the moment you apply for admission to the time you file for graduation, Oakton is here to support you. Whether you're planning to transfer to a four-year college or hoping to enter the workforce quickly, the Division of Student Affairs offers a variety of critical services that support your success.

The College's student affairs division has specially trained advisors and counselors who can help you with everything from planning course schedules to addressing concerns that may interfere with your personal and academic goals.

If you're thinking about working on or off campus, career counselors can help you find employment leads and provide tips on writing effective cover letters and resumes, interviewing techniques and networking.

Need help paying your tuition? Financial assistance counselors can spell out the various options available, including grants, loans, scholarships and college work-study.

The College also offers many opportunities to become involved in student life, from intercollegiate athletics and the Student Government Association to dozens of student clubs and organizations.

We are glad that you're part of our community and hope that you'll take full advantage of the services and leadership opportunities offered through the Division of Student Affairs. Our goal is to help you start here and go anywhere.
