Owls in Flight Transcript Initiative
The Owls in Flight Transcript Initiative provides eligible students with financial support to cover the cost of sending official transcripts to transfer institutions. This support helps remove financial barriers at a critical stage in the transfer process and allows students to move forward with their applications.

S.O.A.R. Initiative (Student Opportunity for Access & Readiness)
The S.O.A.R. Initiative provides financial support for eligible Oakton students preparing to transfer by helping offset the cost of visiting four-year college and university campuses. Campus visits allow students to explore academic programs, meet with university representatives, experience campus life, and make more informed decisions about their transfer destination.
This initiative supports students who may otherwise face financial barriers to visiting prospective transfer institutions.

Oakton College values strong partnerships with colleges and universities that support students as they prepare to transfer and continue their academic journey. Through coordinated engagement opportunities, partners are able to connect directly with students as they explore transfer options and make informed decisions about their next steps.

On-campus and virtual visits provide an opportunity to engage with Oakton students, share information about your institution, and support their transfer planning process.
To ensure a coordinated and consistent experience, all recruitment-related outreach—including campus visits, tabling, and transfer engagement—should be scheduled through the Office of College Transitions.
On-campus recruitment visits are not scheduled during the summer term.

This structure allows for equitable access to campus space and student engagement opportunities across partner institutions.
