Associate in Arts with Psychology Pre-Major to Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Transfer Pathway

What is it?

Oakton students that receive the Associate in Arts with a premajor in Psychology or a minimum of 48 semester hours of transfer credit are eligible for admission into The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP).

Benefits

  • The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (Chicago campus) is recognized by the Illinois Articulation Initiative as a receiving institution.
  • Students wishing to transfer to TCSPP from Oakton will qualify for a block transfer of all general education courses at the Associate degree level. Students entering with an Associate in Science (AS) degree will be required to complete one additional Humanities and Fine Arts and one additional Social and Behavioral Sciences course in order to complete the General Education requirements for TCSPP.

Participation Details
Students must have at least 48 semester credit hours completed with a cumulative grade point average of a C or higher to be eligible for admission.  Additionally, students should follow the prescribed and suggested Oakton Associate in Arts with psychology premajor to best prepare for transfer to The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
