Oakton has created a partnership with Trinity Christian College that prepares its graduates with a seamless transfer to pursue a bachelor’s degree through the Trinity Christian College Guaranteed Admission Partnership. Additionally, students who participate will receive a renewable $1,000 GAP scholarship, with the ability to obtain additional merit scholarships. Eligible participants will have the potential to receive a two-year full-tuition scholarship at Trinity Christian College.
Benefits
- Students who meet the transfer admissions requirements will receive guaranteed admission to Trinity Christian College.
- Those who have completed an AA or AS with at least 60 transferable hours will be enrolled at Trinity with junior status.
- Ability to transfer up to 75 credit hours from Oakton to Trinity.
- All participants will receive a renewable $1,000 GAP Scholarship on top of their appropriate transfer merit scholarship.
- Opportunity for students beginning at Trinity during the fall term to obtain a full-tuition scholarship for two years and meet the requirements for the Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Participation Details
In order to qualify for the Trinity Christian College Guaranteed Admission Partnership, a student must:
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5/4.0 from all previous colleges attended, and a successful completion rate of 67% of all courses attempted.
- Have completed an AA or AS with at least 60 transferable hours to obtain junior status.
- Complete the following courses at Trinity Christian College: FDN 111 Transfer Orientation (1), PHIL 101 Philosophical Perspectives in Worldview (3), THEO 131 Christian Scriptures (3), and a Chicago Connect or Interdisciplinary Inquiry course (3).
- Students who wish to receive Academic Honors will need to complete 60 credits from Trinity.
