President Joianne Smith, Ph.D., provides the vision for Oakton College. An eight-member Board of Trustees, who serve six-year terms, supports her leadership.
The President’s Council is a team of senior administrators with roles representing Academic Affairs, Administrative Affairs, Advancement, Student Affairs, Human Resources, and Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning. They consist of a team of senior administrators who work closely with President Smith to guide institutional progress.
The Council reports to the president and works closely with the Board of Trustees to advise on, develop and implement college-wide initiatives as well as oversee the College's operations.
