Make your Summer Count! Oakton Summer Class Registration Starts March 27

(March 18, 2019) Here’s three great reasons to take summer classes at Oakton Community College: Get ahead or catch up on gen-ed requirements, save time with seven- or eight-week classes and save money when compared to cost of classes at a four-year college. Registration for Oakton summer classes begins Wednesday, March 27.

“Summer courses at Oakton put students on the fast track toward completion,” says Director of Student Recruitment & Outreach Michele Brown. “Tuition and fees are much lower than those at four-year universities, and enrolling for the summer allows students to achieve the same level of academic success at a fraction of the cost and in half the time. It’s also a great opportunity to explore a class you’ve always wanted to take, and convenient locations in Des Plaines, Skokie and online make it even more attractive.”

Eight-week courses begin Monday, June 3, and seven-week classes start Monday, June 10. Students may register up until the first day of a class if they meet the required prerequisite and placement requirements for the class and as long as space is available. Interim courses are also available at different times during the summer.

Students may apply and register online or in person at either campus in person, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. Oakton is closed on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer. Those with a current application on file may register online at my.oakton.edu. Information about summer-only registration may be found online at www.oakton.edu/summer. Students seeking to begin their academic careers at Oakton should visit www.oakton.edu/apply.
