IT Help Desk

The IT Help Desk is your one-stop for all questions and issues regarding technical support at Oakton, and is available 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. You may contact the IT Help Desk at 847.635.1965 (phone or text) or by emailing helpdesk@oakton.edu.

The Help Desk strives to ensure that all contacts are handled promptly and courteously and, if needed, referred to the appropriate IT or external department.

While the IT Help Desk personnel are available to assist with Oakton’s network services and general applications, they cannot help with home computer problems.

If you need support for your class, please contact your instructor as the first line of support for support. If you're enrolled in online classes, you have additional D2L/BrightSpace support through the online chat in the lower right corner of D2L.

Currently enrolled Oakton students can borrow Mobile WiFi hotspots and/or Chromebooks. Loans are for the entire term and are subject to availability. To start the process, please email helpdesk@oakton.edu, or use the Technology Checkout form found in myOakton.

Students at Des Plaines can pick up equipment at the Help Desk, Room 1710, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Students at Skokie can set up pick-up appointments by emailing helpdesk@oakton.edu, or using the Technology Checkout form.
