Requesting Access and Disability Resource Center Services

After you have applied to Oakton Community College and received your student ID number and login information, follow the steps below to begin the process of requesting academic accommodations and services from the ADRC.

Log into the ADRC Student Application portal to complete the ADRC AIM Student Application, and submit your disability documentation electronically.

If you need help with your User Name and Password, please contact the Help Desk at 847.635.1965 or helpdesk@oakton.edu. If you need assistance completing this application, please email accessdisability@oakton.edu or call 847.635.1759.

After receiving email confirmation that your ADRC AIM Student Application has been accepted, complete the Appointment Request Form to request to speak with an ADRC staff member for a new student intake appointment. A staff member will contact you via email to confirm an appointment time according to your availability.

Meet with an ADRC staff member for your scheduled intake appointment. Then, take any needed placement tests after the intake meeting.

Complete the New Student Orientation requirements, including meeting with an academic advisor to review placement test scores, complete an educational plan, and register for classes.

Accommodations will be sent to your instructors through the AIM. You will receive a confirmation email once the request has been made.

Students must request their accommodations through AIM as soon as possible, after registering for classes each semester in which you would like to use your accommodations.

Please Note: Some accommodations may take up to four weeks to be processed, so make your request early.
