If you’re not seeking an F-1 visa, you should apply using the standard application process. If you’re seeking an F-1 visa, the application process has a few additional components, and you’ll need to meet some extra requirements.
If you have questions along the way, please check our list of questions that international students ask, or contact us. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
Before an international student is admitted to Oakton College and I-20 documents are issued, the College must confirm that:
Because of the time needed for processing, we recommend that applicants who live outside the United States submit the online international student application as soon as the application opens for the term. The application and all required documentation must be submitted no later than the application deadline for the term.
All applicants are required to submit a score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 68 on the TOEFL Internet-based Test (TOEFL iBT) is required for admission.
You should be able to make arrangements to take the exam and have the scores forwarded to Oakton in the country where you live.
Oakton’s school code is 1573. The College must receive an “official” test report from TOEFL. Oakton does not accept Institutional TOEFL.
