DeVry University Transfer Pledge Agreement

What is it?

The DeVry University Transfer Pledge Agreement promises an articulated transfer into the Bachelor of Science in Technical Management program at DeVry  to Oakton students with an Associates in Applied Sciences in Accounting, Computer Science, Law Enforcement, Management, or Marketing. The agreement also provides opportunities for scholarships at DeVry University.

Benefits

  • AAS transfer pathways are clear and courses are prescribed and articulated for transfer.
  • Program Participants who apply will receive a waived application fee.
  • Program Participants who earn an associate degree from Oakton and enroll at least 9 credit hours per semester at DeVry will automatically be considered for the Future Ready Transfer Scholarship. Qualifying transfer students enrolled in a DeVry bachelor’s degree program will be awarded $1,000 during their first session and $6,168 during their last 12 credit hours with a lifetime award of $7,168.
  • Program Participants who apply and are accepted to DeVry will receive academic, financial aid and career services advising.

Participation Details

In order to qualify for the DeVry University Transfer Pledge Agreement, a student must:

  • Apply to DeVry through its enrollment process and meet all applicable requirements and deadlines.
  • Obtain an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Law Enforcement, Management, or Marketing.
  • Complete MAT 140 and EGL 102 following courses at Oakton.
  • Earn a grade of C (70%) or higher is required for all undergraduate transfer credits to DeVry University.
  • Program Participants may be eligible for the Future-Ready Transfer scholarship upon their first session of enrollment at DeVry by enrolling in at least 9 credit hours per semester.

How to Apply

Students who wish to apply will need to complete the Application for Undergraduate Admission. To ensure consideration for The DeVry University Transfer Pledge Agreement:

  • Request a formal credit evaluation prior to beginning the first class at DeVry University
  • Provide to DeVry an official transcript from the institution where the credit was earned.

Once admitted, the student will be contacted by the Undergraduate Admissions Office to start the Bachelor of Science in Technical Management program at DeVry University!
