DePaul Admission Partnership Program (DAPP)

What is it?

The DePaul Admission Partnership Program (DAPP) is a transfer preparation program designed for students beginning their college education at Oakton. It's a great way to ensure that you are taking the correct courses for your degree by mapping out a path to your selected major.

Benefits

  • Guaranteed admission to DePaul University.
  • Receive guidance and help planning ahead for a smooth transfer process.
  • Students who meet the eligibility requirements at the time of transfer can receive up to $12,000/year with the DAPP scholarship. All transfer students will automatically be considered for the DePaul Transfer Scholarship with awards from $3,000-$13,000 annually.
  • Earn two degrees. Earn your associate degree from Oakton and your Bachelor's Degree from DePaul.
  • Attend special events and workshops. Have early access to customized visits. Observe a class, speak with current DePaul students, tour the campus, and meet with different departments.
  • Option to participate in DAPP Business or Education Pathways.

Participation Details

In order to qualify for DePaul Admission Partnership Program, a student must:

  • Begin your participation in the DePaul Admission Partnership Program (DAPP) as early as possible in your college experience, prior to completing 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours of college level credit.
  • Maintain continuous enrollment of at least two courses per term, not including summer, at Oakton for no more than a period of 3 years.
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for admission to DePaul. DePaul's college of Education requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 for admission. The Animation program requires students to submit a portfolio.
  • Submit your updated transcripts at the completion of each term to the Office of Undergraduate Admission at DePaul. A final transcript from Oakton must be submitted for your formal admission decision at the time of transfer.
  • Enroll as a transfer student at DePaul within three academic years of the initial participation in DAPP.

How to Apply

  • Complete the DAPP participation form. Indicate your intended date of transfer and major. If you have not decided on a major, you may join DAPP by identifying yourself as an "undeclared major".  Students can select any major, except for those within the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, Theatre School, or the School of Music. Your degree requirements will not be established until your major is declared.
  • Schedule an appointment to meet with a DePaul University transfer counselor within one month of submitting the DAPP form.
  • Confirm that you meet the DAPP participation requirements at your scheduled appointment.
